Travel
Travel to Tokyo is a 14.5 hour direct flight from the US but can be split up in multiple ways. It is recommended to arrive at least one day in advance because of the time difference (+14 hours from EST) and jetlag. It is also recommended to purchase flights at least 3 months in advance.
The major airports for Tokyo are Haneda (HND) or Narita (NRT).
HND is a 30 minute trip into the center of Tokyo while NRT is about 1.5 hours.
Both are accessed by either train or bus.
Taxi is also a great option.
Stay
The venue we have selected is between the Shirokane and Takanawa neighborhoods.
For those who will be arriving close to the day of the wedding, we suggest reserving rooms in hotels within that area or neighborhood. Please click here for suggested hotels.
The venue is well connected to the metro system so if you would rather reserve a room in other neighborhoods, it is a great opportunity to explore the world's largest city.
Please note there will be no hotel blocks reserved for the wedding since this is not a customary for Japanese weddings and hotels.
For those who are making the trip for an extended period of time, we have put together an extensive map of interesting neighborhoods and a few suggested other hotels, restaurants, and sights to check out.
Please feel free to reach out to either of us for further recommendations.
